Meet the Team
The team are embedded within the Marches LEP and its local authority partners across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
Marches Careers Hub Lead
I have worked in Careers for around nine years, carrying out a range of roles such as careers lead of a secondary school, careers coordinator of an academy trust, embedding careers education into 3 secondary schools in a cohesive way, as well as carrying out the role of Enterprise Coordinator for Telford & Wrekin schools and colleges.
I have a passion for careers education and believe that the work we are carrying out in helping to bring employers and the work force of the future together is vital to ensuring that our young people have the skills required to be successful in achieving their aspirations. The work we carry out is extremely important and impacts on many young people’s lives and aspirations.

Enterprise Coordinator - Shropshire
I have a diverse background around careers education and guidance, including work with children, young people and adults to develop life and employability skills and also supporting adults and young adults with SEND, facilitating disability and employment forums. My work with adults has made me realise how important it is to really invest in our young people to provide a range of meaningful encounters with employers to enable them to make independent and informed choices for them to exceed in life and their future career.
As an Enterprise Co-Ordinator, my role is to support secondary schools in Shropshire to improve their careers guidance and employer engagement programmes to increase opportunities to help every young person find their best next step. I support careers leaders on a strategic level, providing support, guidance, resources and linking them with employers, providers and network partners and am passionate about inspiring schools to go beyond the achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks to develop best practice across these standards.
Enterprise Coordinator - Shropshire
I am a qualified careers guidance practitioner and have been working in careers education and guidance within Shropshire for over 25 years. I have supported young people across a range of settings including mainstream schools, further education colleges, SEND provision, pupil referral units and community-based projects. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to be involved in some training and development work, as well as undertaking careers leadership and co-ordination tasks in some of those settings. I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of careers teams who are working towards high quality careers provision that can have such a significant and positive impact on an important stage of young peoples’ lives. In my role as an Enterprise Co-ordinator, I will continue to support the development of high quality and impactful careers work, involving local employers to achieve maximum benefit to young people in our community.
Enterprise Coordinator - Telford & Wrekin
I have worked in Careers Information, Advice & Guidance for 19 years and, before this, in teaching for 5 years.
I have worked in school and college education settings and am keen to develop partnership working with post-16 provision, training providers and employers, highlighting the importance of preparing young people for the world of work so that they can navigate opportunities with confidence.
