About Us

For nearly 170 years, we’ve helped shape the world— from roads and railways to homes, schools,
and hospitals. Since joining the global Holcim family in 2010, we’ve been driving sustainable
construction by making eco-friendly products the norm.
Our focus is on providing building solutions, not just materials, by aligning our people, purpose, and
performance. We’re helping the UK move toward net zero by reusing resources, restoring nature,
and supporting biodiversity. With over 4,000 colleagues at 200+ sites, we’re proud to make a lasting
impact on our communities.

What will the session consist of?

An opportunity to understand our business, the many job roles within the company, understand our
opportunities, meet our diverse workforce and hear first hand accounts of career pathways in
Holcim, as well as attend a site tour.

Benefits/Intended outcome of the encounter

To educate teachers on our sector who can then educate their pupils on the range of
opportunities this sector can provide. Explicit links will be made to curriculum areas such as
Geography, Science, and Maths which will provide you with key insights to bring the taught
curriculum to life, whilst supporting young people to access knowledge on the vast array of
careers linked directly to curriculum areas.
